Mobile Equipment Operator 1

This position is located at Property Management / Central Receiving. The mission of Southern University and A&M College, an Historically Black, 1890 land-grant institution, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is to provide a student-focused teaching and learning environment that creates global leadership opportunities for a diverse student population where teaching, research, service, scholarly and creative expectations for students and faculty are achieved through the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs offered at the institution via different instructional modalities and via public service. This Mobile Equipment Operator 1 is responsible for the pickup, loading, unloading, and disposition of surplus property and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications : No experience or training is required.

Job Duties :

• Operating mobile equipment to remove excess and surplus equipment from university departments on SUBR Campus.
• Transferring equipment to the Property Management Warehouse or LPAA Warehouse.
• Checks the LPAA AMS System to verify the status of equipment being moved.
• Assist with the Annual Property Inventory Certification and with tagging and retagging university equipment.

Compensation : The beginning salary is $16.06 / hourly.
