Job Overview :

We are seeking a Data Security Compliance Officer (DSCO) to lead our global Data Security Compliance Program. In this highly visible role, you will be the organization's key advisor on data security and regulatory compliance, ensuring the protection of clinical data and biospecimens in alignment with DOJ, FDA, and CISA / NIST standards. You'll collaborate across clinical operations, IT, QA, and laboratory teams, driving best practices that safeguard client partnerships and support the development of breakthrough therapies worldwide.

Key Responsibilities :

• Establish, manage, and continuously update Pharmaron's Data Security Compliance Program (DCP).
• Ensure full compliance with DOJ Data Security Program (DSP) requirements, including certifications, recordkeeping, and audits.
• Review and approve all external transfers of data and biospecimens, classifying each as Exempt, Restricted, or Prohibited.
• Oversee chain-of-custody, encryption, and data minimization protocols.
• Coordinate and support independent annual compliance audits.
• Maintain long-term compliance records (minimum 10 years).
• Conduct vendor due diligence and enforce contractual compliance with DOJ / CISA / FDA standards.
• Document justifications for international transfers when no U.S. provider is reasonably available.
• Lead investigations and remediation of security incidents; act as point of contact for regulatory reporting.
• Deliver company-wide and role-specific compliance training (clinical operations, IT, QA, lab staff).
• Stay ahead of evolving DOJ, FDA, CISA, and NIST regulations to update policies, SOPs, and security controls.
• Integrate Lean / Kaizen principles to improve compliance efficiency.
