Senior FLIGHT DECK Leader

Job Title

Coach, drive and lead lean behaviors, principles, and tools by partnering with Operating Leaders in business management roles. This role is crucial in driving a shift in operating mindset and ensuring lean principles are effectively applied to support strategic engineering and operational business plans. This involves cultural transformation resulting in step-change engineering transactional performance & business metrics.

Essential Responsibilities

Lead and execute the Lean Transformation within Engineering Transactional Processes to achieve Operating goals using KPI-based performance management. Coach, develop and collaborate with all levels of the organization and functions including Associates, Support Staff, and the Leadership Team to help progress our Lean Culture and drive Continuous Improvement. Be a Champion of Kaizen and Facilitate Kaizen Events to drive improvements using Value Stream Analysis, Pull, Kanban, Standard Work, 5S and Single-Piece Flow. Teach, Promote, and Practice the Systematic Approach to Lean @ GE and build lean conversion roadmaps & overall capability. Participate in Daily Management Systems including Operating Rhythms, Genba walks and Kata coaching cycles. Coach teams using the Kata process to drive daily Rapid Experiments and Problem Solving in a systematic way. Partner closely with business segments to prioritize and improve critical, cross-functional processes across the Commercial Engine Systems Engineering team for effective transformation and sustainment.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree accredited college or university AND a minimum of 5 years' experience in Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering and / or Training. OR a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years' experience in Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering and / or Training. Proven experiences in successfully driving change and transformation. Relocation only offered if willing to move to our world headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio. Must be willing to travel up to 50%.
