In this position, you will play a key role in helping consumers in therapeutic settings. You will be responsible for carrying out activities as directed by the Therapeutic Recreation Department, facilitating both individual and group activities that align with consumers' treatment plans. It will be important for you to observe and report on consumers' progress toward their individualized goals, while also supporting the overall operations of the Therapeutic Recreation Department through tasks such as escorting, managing resources and supplies, and monitoring safety. Additionally, it will be your responsibility to maintain a clean and safe environment in assigned areas, ensuring a hazard-free space. Furthermore, you will serve as a key communicator between consumers' participation and the multidisciplinary treatment teams, providing important updates and progress reports.
Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
Work hours are 12 : 00 PM to 8 : 30 PM, rotating weekends and holidays as assigned, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework : You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements :
Six months of experience as an Aide Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
Six months of work experience providing care to individuals requiring assistance with daily activities; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.

A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
