Position Overview

QinetiQ US is seeking a Hypersonic expert to support technical projects for a government client. The highly motivated candidate will provide leadership and guidance through knowledge, experience, and their ability to effectively manage and oversee current and emerging Research, Development and Technology hypersonic projects. The candidate will help identify critical warfighter needs, initiate new projects, and provide program management and technical expertise in project execution to deliver impactful capability to the warfighter quickly.

The Hypersonic Analyst Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA)'s primary responsibilities are to guide and support multiple programs through development and expansion into additional mission sets. Responsibilities will include program management, engagements with performers, Program Executive Office (PEO) and Combatant Command (COCOM) partners. Additionally, this will include leading multi-disciplinary, multi-agency integrated product team and providing critical advice to the Government Program Manager when gaps are identified. This position will also lead program engagements with multiple Services to foster program integration and operationalization.

Responsibilities

Interact with Service or Defense Agency Program Offices to leverage existing capabilities in new and innovative ways and to provide expertise in relevant technical disciplines.

• Provide routine administrative support to a RDT&E Program Manager including but not limited to scheduling industry days, coordinating with vendors to develop performance work statements, concept of operations, integrated master schedules, schedule meetings etc.
• Experience in development, test and evaluation of hypersonic systems, weapons systems, and space systems including ground and flight test
• Experience developing and reviewing test plans including identifying key test objectives, performance metrics, and risks
• Knowledge of DoD kill chains, familiarity and relationships with the stakeholder community, understanding of detailed technical characteristics
• Detailed knowledge and experience with the different types of military communications technologies, how they interface, and what their performance capabilities are
• Knowledge and understanding of target track quality and combat ID requirements
• Experience with rapid prototyping of new or modified military technologies to include program execution, test, and transition management
• Experience with acquisition management of current and future projects, including the total cost, schedule, and performance.
• Experience with Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) service contracting and financial analysts.
• Provides critical support in multi-disciplinary, multi-agency integrated product team of professional acquisition personnel across multiple sites nationwide.
• Leads development of acquisition products and materials in support of transition and transition partner Milestone Decision Authority gates.
• Oversee collaborative development of requirements and programmatic documents (MOUs, SOWs, Project Outlines, etc.) with Service stakeholders such as USAF and USN partners
• Experience with kinetic air vehicles, design, development and prototyping of long-range fire kill chains etc.
• Special projects as desired
