Primary Services is actively recruiting for a highly skilled Procurement Specialist - Emergency Response to support a large, established client. In this role, you will leverage your strategic sourcing expertise to optimize supplier selection, negotiate contracts, and conduct spend analysis, ensuring timely and cost-efficient procurement for emergency preparedness and operational readiness. Your ability to integrate risk management into sourcing decisions and cultivate strong supplier relationships will be essential to maintaining resilient supply chains in high-stakes situations.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and support emergency sourcing strategies for disaster response, power restoration, and critical infrastructure support.
- Manage end-to-end RFP, RFQ, and RFI processes, from supplier identification through contract negotiation.
- Conduct spend analysis, supplier risk assessments, and category strategy development aligned with resilience goals.
- Build and manage a vetted supplier network capable of rapid response and scalable support during crises.
- Support contract lifecycle management with a focus on emergency readiness clauses and compliance.
- Collaborate with legal, operations, and emergency management teams to ensure contract agility and supplier performance.
- Develop playbooks, dashboards, and tools that strengthen procurement response during natural disasters and high-impact events.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.3–5 years of experience in procurement or sourcing, ideally in chemical plants, utilities, or energy infrastructure.Experience working in large, matrixed organizations (5,000+ employees).Deep knowledge of emergency procurement protocols, rapid sourcing, and vendor management.Proficiency with AI-enabled sourcing platforms, analytics dashboards, and procurement tools.Strong experience in supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and analytical evaluation.
