Activity Therapist (Hiring Immediately)

The Activity Therapist plans, directs, and coordinates a variety of therapeutic and rehabilitative activities. Activities include therapeutic activities that focus upon the development and maintenance of adaptive skills that will improve the patient's functioning and leisure activities that provide the patient with individualized opportunities to acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes about meaningful leisure involvement and experiences. Activity therapists use a variety of modalities, including arts and crafts, drama, music, dance, sports, and games to help maintain or improve a patient's physical, social, and emotional well-being. The Activity Therapist will provide interventions to patients who need help developing new social and coping skills.

Required :

• Bachelor's Degree in Recreational Therapy or related field
• Any one of the following : Registered Occupational Therapist / Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, Certified Therapeutic Recreation Assistant, Speech-language Pathologist with a certificate of clinical competence, Registeredor Certified Music Therapist, Registered Art Therapist, or Registered Physical Therapist.
