The Lead Technologist operates as a content expert and high functioning lab technologist within the Cytogenetics team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in karyotyping complex oncology cases and proficiency with ISCN nomenclature . Take advantage of this great advancement opportunity for an experienced Laboratory Technologist!

• Oversees or participates in the technical operations including QA / QC checks, system maintenance issues, accuracy of test results, and general sample troubleshooting.
• Oversees laboratory staff in the performance of qualitative and quantitative test procedures.
• Acts as reference source for technologists in the correlation of test data.
• Implements solutions to problems in processing and delivering highly accurate patient data.
• Participates in QA / QC concerns, which relate to result data delivery and patient care.
• Oversees issues relating to laboratory workflow and productivity.
• Tracks and responds to questions relating to testing procedures and results.
• Participates in the orientation, training and competency assessment of staff.
• Provide staff supervisory coverage as needed.

This role works Monday - Friday on the day shift. Location is our Weill Cornell campus on Manhattan's Upper East Side.

Salary Range :

$132,400-$149,000 / Annual
