NARCOTICS TECHNICIAN

POSITION INFORMATION

Position summary :

Performs compliance tasks and the related activities in support of the DEA and controlled medication dispensing process.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education :

High school diploma or equivalent required. Completetion of Pharmacy Technician program (certificate or degree) required.Knowledge of and experience with controlled drug packaging procedures is required. Knowledge of DEA and Federal laws for CII - CV prescriptions is required.

Required length and type of experience :

Three years experience as Pharmacy Technician II at SWGHC is required before advancement or previous equivalent hospital experience.

Required licensure, certification or registry :

Pharmacy Technician certification through PTCB required.
