Registered Nurse (RN)
Minimum Qualifications :
Graduate of an accredited School of Registered Professional Nursing
Preferred : BSN
License :
Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse licensure
Certifications :
BLS required through AHA or RQI system during clinical orientation
CPI certification obtained within 90 days of hire
Job Functions :
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing - LTC, oversees nursing unit operations and provides clinical supervision to staff.
Ensures quality resident care by teaching and supervising staff on respective shifts.
Communicates with the Director of Nursing and Nurse Manager regarding unit issues and collaborates to resolve them.
Makes sound administrative decisions during off-shifts or weekends in the absence of the Director of Nursing and Administrator - LTC.
Collaborates effectively with medical staff, department managers, ancillary services, and customers.
Demonstrates professionalism under stress, manages multiple priorities, and promotes teamwork through leadership and role modeling.
Familiar with NYSDOH requirements and maintains compliance.
Demonstrates excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Computer literate and able to use software tools effectively.
Other Requirements :
Ability to manage clinical operations, ensure staff compliance, and maintain a healing environment.
Models professionalism and effective communication while promoting dignity, safety, and well-being.
Exposure Control Classification :
Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is reasonably anticipated. Tasks may involve contact with blood, body fluids, or tissue.
