American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery assignment at a high-acuity perinatal center, requiring a WA or compact RN license and strong L&D skills.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit specializing in antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn careServes a complex, high-risk patient population as a Level 3 Perinatal center with approximately 150 births per monthDay shifts available with options for either 3x12 or 4x12 hour schedulesPatient ratio is 1 : 1 for laboring patientsUnit includes two operating rooms for C-sections and related proceduresTravelers will float within the hospital as needed but not to sister hospitalsWeekend shifts are requiredNo call requirementsUses Epic EMR; Epic experience is preferred but not requiredScrubs required, any color acceptable; scrubs provided for OR personnelCare for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn patient populations including high-risk and complex casesFloat support and team-oriented environment within the hospitalOrientation includes pre-start modules and on-site training; Epic module completed during orientationHoliday RTO restrictions : travelers can take 1 of 3 major holidays off and up to 3 additional non-holiday days, specific block-off dates applyHighly prefers travelers willing to work ChristmasRTO not permitted during orientation weekLocals are accepted at the same rate with no radius requirements\n \n Requirements\n
Active WA or compact RN license or proof of pending license requiredMinimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience required; 3 years preferredBLS and NRP certifications requiredCOVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptionsHospital L&D and high-acuity or trauma / teaching hospital experience preferredFirst-time travelers acceptedTwo references required, at least one supervisory preferredFormer employees must be separated for 18 months before returning as a traveler\n Benefits\n
