(USA) Produce Lead

Position Summary

As a Produce Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Produce and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member's expectations.

What you'll do

• Be a Team Leader : Supervises the team in Produce and Floral area to deliver on the business plan and contribute to the overall success of the club; communicates department goals; executes company programs; adheres to policies; advocates for the member, the associate, and the company; collaborates with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets member expectations.
• Be an Expert : Maintains an in-depth knowledge of the business on the floor and backroom operations; ensures the produce area meets company standards for quality, inventory, production, sanitation, equipment usage, safety, and compliance; manages seasonality in item volume, product knowledge, processes, and prioritization between areas; collaborates with associates to provide resources and training.
• Be a Techie : Leverages digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; uses handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality, and to adopt new tools.
• Be an Owner : Drives business results with a focus on operational excellence, profitability, and maintaining a neat, clean, and safe work area for the team and members; maintains adequate staffing, accurate audits and compliance, and merchandises according to layout plans while modeling strong member service.
• Be a Talent Ambassador : Teaches and trains the team to be highly effective; identifies potential and develops necessary skills; encourages career growth and sources new talent; develops and implements processes to meet business needs in collaboration with managers and partners; demonstrates compliance with company policies and ethics; leads and participates in teams to meet timelines and quality standards; adapts to change and new challenges.
