Team Leader – Children's Residential

Salary : £14.17 – £14.99 per hour (includes a sleep-in rate of £30 for 2–3 sleep-ins per week)

Responsibilities
- Lead and support the team of children's support workers, setting a positive example wherever possible.
- Assist with planning team rotas, supporting the Deputy Manager and Home Manager in meetings and appointments.
- Execute duties in line with OFSTED regulations and the Statement of Purpose, ensuring the needs of children and young people are met fairly.
- Provide 3–5 paid shadowing shifts with an experienced Team Leader or Deputy Manager during the induction period.
- Carry out all reasonable tasks directed by the Registered Manager and / or Deputy Manager, and deputise where required.
- Maintain a flexible working pattern, including rotating shifts (average 169 hours per month) and sleep-ins as per home needs.
- Collaborate closely with clinical teams and local authorities to support the development of children and young people.
- Take responsibility for personal development, training needs and supervision in line with Quality Standards.
Qualifications, Experience & Requirements
MUST HOLD a UK Driving Licence.Experience as a Children & Young People support worker preferred.Knowledge of DBS and safe recruitment principles, with the ability to complete enhanced DBS checks.Strong leadership qualities, adaptability, reliability and the ability to read situations to promote positive choices for young people.Experience working within an inclusive environment, supporting diverse cultural backgrounds.Informed about safeguarding practices and able to conduct online searches for suitable short-listed candidates.Benefits & Development
