SALARY: $17.00Hr

SUMMARY

The Housekeeping House Attendant is responsible for assisting our Guest Room Attendants with delivery of items and maintaining cleanliness in our stock areas and guest corridors. In this role they will ensure the housekeeping team in the tower has all the items needed to complete assigned rooms in a timely manner. They will deliver prompt, courteous and team-minded service throughout the entire resort and adhere to all Grand Sierra Resort standards. Must be a minimum of 16 years of age. Previous Housekeeping experience preferred. Flexible working all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate. In addition to performance of essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of functions to be determined based upon the needs of the Hotel. Must be able to listen and respond to guest inquiries in a positive and professional manner.

Any combination of education, training, or experience listed that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to communicate in English, verbal and written sufficient enough to perform job duties as well as read all labels on chemical bottles.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

Must be able to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with guests, management, Team Members and others.

Is regularly required to sit; stand; walk and move through all areas of the hotel; speak and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

They must be able to stand for 8 hours at a time.

May reach with hands and arms above shoulder level; bend/stoop, squat, balance, kneel, lift and push/pull.

The Team Member must consistently be able to lift and/or move/push up to 100 pounds.

Team member must be able to operate vacuum cleaners, dustpans and brooms.

Team member must be able to tolerate cleaning chemicals and the smell and residue of those chemicals used.

Team member must be able to work any shift, holidays and weekends.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES *include the following. Other duties may be assigned.*

Providing linen and other needed items to Guest Room Attendants as requested

Providing assistance and support to assigned Guest Room Attendants by stripping rooms, removing soiled linen, trash and providing supplies

To assist in the maintaining the cleanliness of the linen rooms and supply closets on their assigned floors

Alert management of needed items for supply closets and linen rooms

Pick up linen and garbage from housekeeping carts throughout the day

Performs special projects assigned by Floor Managers

Enter work orders in our maintenance program and follow them to completion

Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of all guest corridors

Maintain the cleanliness of the shared Team Member bathrooms on their assigned floors

Reporting any breakages or damages to the appropriate Team Members

Deliver amenities to guest rooms
