to join our growing Division of Hematology & Oncology. We are currently recruiting for
two faculty roles :
Clinical Benign Hematologist
Hematology Hospitalist
This is an exciting opportunity to join a
collaborative, academic tertiary care environment
serving patients with a wide range of hematologic conditions while teaching and mentoring the next generation of clinicians.
Position Highlights
Practice Setting :
Academic, primarily clinical faculty role
Schedule :
Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM (8 clinic half-days + 30 inpatient days per year)
Patient Volume :
~14-16 patients per day in clinic; 10-15 inpatient consults per day
Weekday / Weekend Call :
6 weekends per year and 6 weeks per year; Fellows handle first call
Team :
29 faculty physicians (6 hematology only) and 13 APPs (4 heme only)
EMR :
Epic (inpatient and outpatient)
Procedures : Bone marrow biopsy
Hospital :
UF Health Shands Hospital - 1,149 licensed beds, 1,500+ medical staff physicians
