Location : Savannah, GA 31419 (Georgia nursing jobs)

Setting : Acute Care – Medical Surgical Unit (Med / Surg RN jobs)

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing

Start Date : January 19, 2026

End Date : April 20, 2026

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : 12-hour day shifts

Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed

Weekend Requirement : 6 weekend shifts per 12 weeks (Saturday and Sunday; may not be consecutive)

Dress Code : Navy scrubs

Orientation : One day computer skills, two shifts with preceptor

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1680-$1800

Med / Surg RN Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg nursing experience required

At least 1 previous travel nurse assignment strongly preferred

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or compact state

BLS certification required

Med / Surg skills checklist must be included in profile

100-mile radius rule applies

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care to a diverse Med / Surg population, including sickle cell, heart failure, vascular, pulmonary, diabetes, and failure to thrive diagnoses

Manage nurse-patient ratios of 5-6 : 1

Collaborate with charge nurses, nurse aides, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Utilize respiratory therapy equipment such as nasal cannulas, face masks, and BiPAP

Document patient care using MEDITECH 6.1 charting system

Adhere to hospital policies, including holiday shift requirements

Participate in unit-specific orientation and ongoing professional development
