Job Description

Under the direction of the Central Lab Production Manager, the Shift Production Manager directs the lab workflow to ensure quality and production goals while maintaining cleanliness and equipment maintenance standards for each area of the Central Lab : Surfacing, Finishing, and Inspection

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures that the quality and workmanship of Central Lab eyewear meets the standards set by Eyemart Express
• Manages teams of Optical Lab Technicians, including scheduling, time off requests, and performance evaluations.
• In collaboration with maintenance supervisors on staff, directs lab operators in their assigned maintenance tasks.
• Maintain a turnaround time of less than three days on lab orders.
• Develops the optical knowledge and leadership skills of their operators and team lead
• Manages the capital lab assets of Eyemart within budgets as assigned by Vice President of Lab Operations
• Orders lab consumables and maintains stock of supplies to adequately support the network requirements within assigned budgets.
• Works with equipment vendors from SOM, Satis Loh, MEI and Buhler as onsite technical support for advanced repair of robotic equipment
• On duty supervision for equipment operators to clear errors, repair machines and support production as needed.
