About The Position
Are you ready to take your investigative career to the next level? We are seeking a dynamic leader to supervise and inspire a team of senior investigators tasked with uncovering violations of the Insurance Code (Title 48 RCW and / or Title 284 WAC). In this role, you will guide complex casework and personally lead high-profile investigations that shape the future of insurance regulation in Washington. This is a Washington General Service position. The monthly salary range for this position is $6,107 - $8,210. The role is based in the Tumwater office.

Duties
The duties of the position include, but are not limited to :
Developing performance expectations and conducting performance evaluations, including individual development and training plans.Assigning, planning, instructing and checking the work of assigned staff; mentoring, coaching and recognizing staff.Conducting supervisory fact-findings into alleged misconduct and / or performance deficiencies. Taking appropriate corrective and / or disciplinary action as needed.Providing recommendations and assisting in the development or revision of investigative policies and procedures and supporting the Chief Legal Officer for Regulatory Investigations in continuously improving the investigations program.Representing the division in agency workgroups and activities including strategic planning and change management.Conducting multiple investigations simultaneously.Reviewing cases with the Chief Legal Officer for Regulatory Investigations, Insurance Attorneys, and / or the Deputy Commissioner of Legal Affairs.Assisting Insurance Attorneys in the prosecution of cases.To read more about this position and view all duties, click here to request a position description.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Four (4) years of experience as an Investigator 3.OR Six (6) years of experience as an investigator with a regulatory government agency or private organization, four years must include field experience.OR Five (5) years of experience conducting case analysis, pre-sentence investigations or criminal investigations for a regulatory agency, court or quasi-judicial body, three years must include providing case management of individuals convicted of felony crimes.Education substitution : A degree in criminal justice, criminology, psychology, investigation or related field from an accredited institution may substitute for relevant experience. If degree awarded outside the United States, a credential evaluation report is required.

One year of supervisory experienceBasic level Microsoft Word and Outlook skillsPreferred / Desired Qualifications
Two years of supervisory experience in a regulatory investigative, criminal, financial examination, insurance, or audit context.Knowledge of Title 48 RCW and Title 284 WAC.Familiarity with insurance terminology and concepts.Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex agreements and contracts, especially insurance contracts.Professional certifications such as a Certified Fraud Examiner or other investigative / auditing certifications.Ready to join us?
