About the Role :
An established New York City general contractor is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join their team on a ground-up multifamily development in Manhattan . This is a great opportunity to gain full-cycle project management experience with a firm known for delivering high-quality residential work across NYC.
Key Responsibilities :
Support the Project Manager in managing budgets, schedules, and subcontractor contracts
Assist with the preparation and tracking of RFIs, submittals, and change orders
Coordinate with architects, engineers, vendors, and field teams to ensure timely project execution
Help oversee procurement, delivery tracking, and material management
Attend project meetings and contribute to daily / weekly reporting and documentation
Maintain organized project records using Procore or other PM software
Support project closeout, punch list tracking, and turnover documentation
Qualifications :
2+ years of experience in ground-up residential or commercial construction
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and project scheduling software
Familiar with construction drawings, scopes of work, and building systems
OSHA 30 certification is a plus
Strong communication and time management skills
