In this role, you will work closely under the supervision of licensed independent practitioners to provide essential patient care, supporting both clinical and administrative functions. Job Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care within the MA-R scope of practice, accurately executing provider orders in a timely manner.
- Facilitate patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency, communicating effectively with patients, providers, and team members regarding wait times.
- Document patient complaints and vital signs following clinic protocols; prepare patients for examinations.
- Maintain up-to-date patient health information in the electronic medical record, excluding changes to allergies, medications, or medical history.
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of electronic health records and manage incoming paper records appropriately.
- Perform daily room checks, stock exam rooms, conduct point-of-care controls, and assist with treatments and procedures within scope.
- Coordinate with environmental services to maintain a clean and safe clinical environment, adhering to infection control standards.
- Engage in special projects and other duties as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and teamwork.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.Previous experience as a Registered Medical Assistant preferred.Licenses and Certifications
Licensure as a Medical Assistant or application within two weeks of employment.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of MA-R duties and patient care techniques.Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records.Familiarity with medical terminology and medical office procedures is preferred.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and exercise independent judgment.Commitment to fostering positive working relationships and a collaborative team environment.Work Environment and Benefits
