Security Professional - Unarmed Patrol Specialist

As a Security Professional - Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Winchester, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food / Beverage, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for employees and visitors. Your visible presence and routine patrols will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, and you will contribute to a caring culture that puts people first and always acts with integrity.

Pay Rate : $18.85 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Monday 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Friday 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Saturday 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Sunday 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the food and beverage production environment to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Report and document any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or hazards observed during patrols.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including guiding individuals to designated areas and coordinating with emergency personnel.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters and / or site policies.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related concerns specific to a food and beverage production location, such as contamination risks or restricted area breaches.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
