General Merchandise Expert

Starting hourly rate : $15.00 USD per hour

General merchandise experts of store process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor.

The general merchandise and food sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all general merchandise (GM) areas of the store. This team conducts inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance and pricing processes for all areas of the store. Experts enable efficient delivery to our guests by supporting pick, pack and ship fulfillment work.

• Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest first culture across the store
• Experience in retail business fundamentals including : department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency and improvement
• Experience executing daily / weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals

A typical day as a general merchandise expert will most likely include :

We are looking for someone who enjoys interacting and helping others - including guests that shop our store and fellow team members you work with. You thrive in a fast-moving, highly active and physically demanding role, where teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem solving are key to success. You are open to working a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and other peak shopping times).

There are a few skills you should have from the get-go :

We expect you to accurately handle cash register operations as needed, climb up and down ladders, scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others. You must be capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc. Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).
