Job description

Speech Therapist Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Evaluate and Diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders through standardized assessments and patient interviews.
  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans tailored to each patient’s needs, focusing on improving communication abilities and / or swallowing function.
  • Educate and Support patients, families, and caregivers with strategies and techniques to encourage progress outside of therapy sessions.

Speech Therapist Requirements & Qualifications :

  • Education : Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure / Certification : Current state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (or eligibility).
  • Skills / Experience : Strong communication, patient care, and documentation skills; prior clinical experience in healthcare, education, or rehabilitation settings preferred.
