Schedule : 7 : 00 AM 7 : 00 PM (12-hour shifts)

Position Overview :

We are seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate must have prior Emergency Department experience and advanced procedural skills to deliver high-quality, efficient, and compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients of all acuity levels in the Emergency Department.

Perform advanced procedures such as suturing, intubations, central and arterial line placements, fracture reductions, and chest tube insertions.

• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Must be experienced with advanced procedures for solo ED coverage.

Participate in ED operations, including documentation, follow-up care planning, and disposition of patients.

Maintain a strong commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based practices.

Qualifications :

Current Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).

Active and unrestricted Maine license or ability to obtain.

Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department experience (required).

Demonstrated proficiency in advanced emergency procedures.

Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications.

Strong clinical judgment, multitasking skills, and the ability to work autonomously in a high-acuity environment.
