Job description10+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server administration and engineering. Minimum 3 years of Federal or DoD experience. Expertise with SQL Server 2016 / 2019, clustering, and RedGate SQL Monitor. Strong knowledge of database encryption, security, and performance tuning. Windows Server administration and backup / recovery experience. Microsoft Azure Database Administrator Associate certification preferred. Active DoD Secret clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain). Powered by JazzHR
Our customer is seeking a Mid-Level Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) Engineer to provide database engineering and administration for Microsoft SQL Server environments.
This role focuses on building, maintaining, and optimizing SQL clusters to support secure, high-performing enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, build, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server clusters for enterprise workloads.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, availability, and reliability.
- Configure SQL instances, access control, and encryption per best practices.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and backup teams to align with mission requirements.
- Troubleshoot database issues, perform recovery, and ensure compliance with standards.
- Support hybrid integrations with Azure SQL and AWS RDS.
