Low-Volume Community Hospital | 12-Hour Shifts | Long-Term Coverage

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physicians (ABEM / AOBEM) for a long-term locum tenens opportunity in northern New England .

This assignment offers low patient volume , manageable pace , and the chance to practice high-quality medicine in one of New Hampshire’s most scenic lake regions.

Assignment Highlights

Location : Wolfeboro, New Hampshire

Specialty : Emergency Medicine (Physician)

Start Date : January 31, 2026

Contract Length : Long-term (6+ months, ongoing)

Shifts : 12-hour Day & Night Shifts | 7a–7p & 7p–7a

Monthly Shift Availability : ~20 shifts per month

EMR : Meditech Expanse

Hospital Size : 25 inpatient beds | 14 ED beds

Annual Volume : ~11,800 visits per year (?1 patient / hour)

Position Details

Coverage Model : Physician-led department with APP support

Trauma Level : No trauma designation

Average Patient Volume : 1.03 patients / hour

Team Environment : Collaborative care team with nursing and APC support

Procedures : Standard ED procedures expected

Candidate Requirements

Board Certification : ABEM or AOBEM (Required)

Experience : Minimum 3 years of recent emergency medicine experience

Licensure : Active New Hampshire license preferred (IMLC accepted)

Certifications : ACLS and BLS required

DEA : Active & unrestricted

Privileges : Temporary privileges available | Credentialing timeline based on file and need

Supervision : Responsible for supervising APPs during shift
