Description
A Rehab Aide's primary functions include departmental and equipment maintenance, clerical duties, assisting in patient treatment, and other activities as directed. The Rehab Aide may be assigned to / rotated between clinical areas in inpatient (IP) or outpatient (OP) care, as well as weekend / holiday coverage, as needed.
Salary range : 22.12 -30.28 hourly
Qualifications
Some working experience in hospital setting and / or Therapy setting preferred
Valid BLS certification from AHA or ARC
Ability to safely perform repetitive bending, stooping, squatting, standing, sitting during an eight to ten-hour day. Normal duties involve frequent lifting (up to 35 pounds), transferring patients, pushing a wheelchair up to 500 feet.
Sufficient dexterity and strength to perform standard duties including assisting in patient care, documentation and equipment use.
Ability to effectively communicate with patients and staff from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
Ability to work as a member of the team, including sharing knowledge, giving and receiving feedback, taking initiative to assist others, problem solving and providing an atmosphere conducive to learning.
Skill in working in distracting, pressured environments with flexibility, good concentration, minimal supervision, and frequent interruptions
Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction
More than 2 years of relevant rehab aide experience qualifies for Rehab Aide 2 title
