Sr. Manager, U.S. Commercial Communications
The Sr. Manager, U.S. Commercial Communications reports to the Head of Communications, U.S. Operations and Global Diagnostics and is a member of the U.S. Commercial Communications and Corporate Affairs teams. This role is responsible for independently managing and leading commercial operations communications for the U.S. Operations and U.S. Petcare teams.
The position requires strategic thinking, advanced project management skills and the ability to lead complex projects, drive leadership communications, and engage a large remote workforce. Key responsibilities include developing and executing communications plans to achieve business objectives, executive communications, field force engagement and ensuring alignment of corporate messaging and materials with field channels.
This role will be empowered to shape and drive communications for the U.S. Operations and U.S. Petcare teams, working autonomously across the organization to address critical business priorities and proactively influence communication strategies. This role will be responsible for making decisions that resolve complex problems, operating independently in ambiguous situations and serving as a resource for team members.

Position Responsibilities :
The Senior Manager, U.S. Commercial Communications plays a critical role in shaping communication strategies that support the U.S. Operations and U.S. Petcare field teams. This role requires a strategic approach to managing complex projects, developing innovative solutions, and the ability to deliver measurable business impact through leadership and communication expertise. Key responsibilities include :Lead and manage high-impact communication initiatives including developing innovative strategies that meet business objectives and applying advanced knowledge of communication principles and expertise to ensure successful execution.Develop and execute external and internal communications plans for commercial leadership, customer activation, organizational communication, and colleague engagement opportunities.Supporting the Head of Communications, U.S. Operations and Global Diagnostics, and the Petcare Executive Team by developing and managing content that drives customer outreach, leadership engagement and colleague culture.Leading communications planning for U.S. Petcare activities including initiatives focused on field force engagement and effectiveness.Serve as a key contributor to the U.S. Commercial Communications team, accountable for critical milestones and deliverables. Collaborate with team members to ensure alignment with business priorities and successful project outcomes.Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to amplify customer and pet owner activations and support local, field-based communication opportunities. Lead presentation development for major meetings such as National Sales Meetings (NSM), Plan of Action (POA) sessions, and Managers' meetings, ensuring that messaging and materials are aligned strategically with business objectives.Drive commercial colleague engagement strategies, including Town Halls, recognition programs, and community impact initiatives, to foster a connected and inclusive culture.Resolve complex challenges by effectively navigating ambiguous situations, making strategic decisions and developing innovative solutions that support business unit goals and enhance overall performance.Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and tactics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.Education and Experience :
BA / BS in English, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or similar field10+ years of professional experience with 5+ years writing experience in corporate or commercial communications.Experience in planning, development and execution of corporate and organizational communications.Experience in remote colleague engagement and internal communications.Skilled in driving colleague engagement, reputation management and project management initiatives from start to finish.Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsSkilled at multi-tasking and managing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Understands and values benchmarking and staying abreast of the latest trends and best practices.Proven vendor management, negotiation, and relationship skillsAbility and discretion to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.Technical Skills Requirements :
Animal health, pharmaceutical or commercial sales team experience8+ years of professional experience and demonstrated skills in developing, managing, and delivering internal and external communication strategies.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Ability to work effectively across functions and levels.Ability to synthesize complex and technical information and convert it into clear and concise messages that customers can understand.Experience with communication production including digital, presentations, events, video.Able to work to tight deadlines, manage evolving priorities and multiple projects at once, and maintain professionalism under pressure.A drive for and ability to achieve results through cross-functional teams, leveraging organization resources and exerting influence without direct authority.Self-starter, able to work independently.Strong analytical, planning, attention to detail and prioritizing skillsExcellent networking and relationship-building skills and the ability to interact with confidence with various levels and functions.Partner and agency relationship management experienceExpected travel 15%.Physical Position Requirements :
Role will be hybrid at the Parsippany, NJ office.Given the demands of role, hour may require some flexibility to meet work demands.The NJ base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000.00 - $205,000.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the base pay target range for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
This position is also eligible for short-term incentive compensation.
This position is also eligible for long-term incentives.
