Electrical Commissioning Engineer

The Electrical Commissioning Engineer supports plant start-up and commissioning by managing electrical systems testing from component level to integrated facility operations. This role ensures compliance with corporate procedures, safety standards, and project requirements while coordinating with mechanical, instrumentation, and controls disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and document electrical commissioning and turnover activities.
• Perform and review testing of low- and medium-voltage switchgear, transformers, and power distribution systems in compliance with STCP, SWPP, and NFPA 70E
• Coordinate with Construction, Engineering, and supplier Technical Advisors for equipment commissioning.
• Supervise subcontractors and craft workers, ensuring safe, quality, and on-time execution.
• Prepare test packages, turnover documents, and manage punch list closeouts.
• Identify and mitigate safety risks, lead ES&H practices, and enforce LOTO procedures.
