Job Title : Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Travel Nursing

Healthcare Setting : Acute Care – Surgical Services

Assignment Type : Travel Nurse Contract

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 17 / 2025, End : 2 / 16 / 2026)

Shifts : 3x12 hour day shifts per week (rotating), 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PM; early leave possible if cases are completed, must be available for call-back

On-Call : 17-20 call shifts in an 8-week period, including 12-hour weeknights and 24-hour weekend shifts (30-minute response time required)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2100 - $2250

Team Environment : Small, collaborative team with 4 RNs per shift (Preop, OR, PACU, Float)

Charting System : Epic EMR

Orientation : 2 days in OR, plus additional Preop / PACU training as needed

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Idaho or compact state)

Minimum 3 years of Operating Room nursing experience

BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required

Preop and PACU experience preferred

Ability to float to Preop, PACU, and other departments as needed

Epic EMR experience preferred

Strong teamwork and communication skills

OR RN Responsibilities

Deliver safe, effective nursing care for surgical patients in the Operating Room, Preop, and PACU settings

Assist with surgical cases including cholecystectomies, appendectomies, hernia repairs, abdominal hysterectomies, hysteroscopies, D&C, colonoscopies, endoscopies, and C-sections

Collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Participate in on-call shifts and respond within 30 minutes as required

Float to other departments and provide clinical support when surgeries are not scheduled

Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR

Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
