New Advanced Procedure Gastroenterology Locums Job in Georgia

Our client in Georgia is searching for a Gastroenterologist to assist with advanced procedure Gastroenterology coverage. The ideal candidate will be available two weeks per month ongoing.

Details / Requirements for Assignment :

• Coverage needed : two weeks per month ongoing
• Privileging process can take 4-5 months - it s lengthy but a great health system
• Will have virtual trainings, EPIC EMR training and modules to complete prior to start
• Moderate volume
• Will likely work an 8-hour day Monday through Friday while taking 24-hour call
• Weekends can expect to spend 4 hours on average in the hospital per day
• No scheduled cases on the weekends, but will round, consult and operate as needed.
• ERCP and EUS required. Will not see any trauma
• Coverage is for two hospitals (one hospital is very low volume). The hospitals are 7 minutes away by car.
• Internal Medicine docs and Residents will help support the locum while on site, and continuing care when locum isn't on site.
• Can expect phone calls in the evenings, but callbacks to the hospital are at a minimum.
