Investigations Manager
Manages staff and caseloads for reports of abuse, neglect and exploitation in long-term care facilities and Home and Community Based Services. Responsible for ensuring persons who have committed maltreatment are placed on the Adult and Long-Term Care Facility Resident Maltreatment Registry. Prepares staff for subsequent appeals and serves as the main point of contact for the Incidents and Accidents Unit.
Assigns duties to staff and reviews I&A investigations to ensure compliance with controlling statutes. Ensures thorough and timely investigations of abuse, neglect and maltreatment allegations in Long Term Care facilities and Home and Community Based Service providers. Serves as the primary contact to the general public, provider community, DPSQA (Office of Long Term Care and Office of Community Services), Department of Health, Attorney General's Office and state agencies. Compiles and maintains staff personnel and attendance records. Organizes, arranges, and attends, when necessary, training, conferences, seminars, and meetings. Tracks appeals received from the Office of Appeals and Hearings for the Division. Manages / updates the Enterprise Licensing System (ELS). Ensures the National Practitioner Data Bank is updated timely. Responsible for supervisor duties including hiring, training, and employee discipline.
