Job Title

Georgia Department of Public Health (GA) is seeking a dedicated professional for a full-time salaried position. The salary for this role is $54,000.00 annually. The position is located at Macon - District 5-2 Hope Center, GA.

The job responsibilities include developing, preparing, analyzing, and revising large or complex budgets and supporting schedules for assigned organizations or program areas. The role also involves reviewing and analyzing budget program and policy issues, analyzing financial trends or proposed legislation, and recommending appropriate courses of action to management. The position may serve as a lead worker.

Minimum qualifications require an associate degree in accounting, business / public administration, or finance from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of fiscal analysis job-related experience; or two (2) years of experience at the lower level Budget Analyst 2 (FIP011) or equivalent position. Preferred qualifications include at least two years of experience in grant management financial experience, strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, proficiency in financial analysis and reporting, excellent attention to detail and accuracy, ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently, strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, and knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
