About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : 1 year of recent nursing experience preferred

License : Current RN License in the state of employment or compact

Certifications : Current BLS and ACLS certification required

Must-Have : Ability to float to any floor of the facility as needed

Description :

The Registered Nurse practices independently and demonstrates awareness of relevant aspects of the clinical situation.

Provides routine and complex care, focusing on long-range goals or plans.

Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing.

Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers to help manage the clinical situation.

Meets expectations of applicable competencies.

Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.

Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.

Administers medications and treatments following appropriate protocols.

Monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.

Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.

Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and / or caregivers.

Identifies issues and resources to support patient care.

All newly hired RNs may participate in a residency program or specific orientation.

Skills completion and competency verification will be achieved with a designated preceptor.

Completion of all annual competency verification requirements is necessary.

One year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.
