  • Jun 13 -23

Call Schedule : 24-hr call; 7a-7a

  • 5-7 days / month

    • Call Volume : 15-20

    Patient Demographics : Primarily Adults

  • Peds & Adolescent patients are sent to the Children's hospital nearby

    • Ave. No. of Surgical Cases : 10 per day

    Annual ER Volume : 27,000

    Physician in Practice : 1 Gen Surgeon

    Support Staff :

  • Experienced & well-trained OR staff, Skilled at Robotic Surgical Procedures and all General Surgery Procedures.

    • Duties :

  • Primary responsibility is Hospital General Surgery & Level 3 Trauma call coverage, gen surgery consult coverage at hospital.
  • May receive referrals / questions from the APP in OP.

    • Required Procedures :

  • Gen. Surgical Cases (adult & trauma)
  • Central Line Insertion, PA Catheter Placement
  • Chest Tube Insertion, Vascular Access Devices
  • Cholecystectomy & Hernioplasty
  • Preferred : Appendectomies, Bowel Resections, Trauma Care for Perforations or Lacerations of Internal Organs.

    • No. of ORs : 10

    Trauma Level : III

    EMR : Epic

    Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered

    Requirements : Active OH License

    BC

    BLS, ACLS, ATLS

    Clean record

    Close to OH (preferred)
