The Kable Group is hiring a CNC Lathe Machinist in Dayton, OH. This position is a full-time, Direct hire opportunity.
FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Studies basic blueprints, sketches, drawings, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece.
- Follows sequence of operations on router.
- Follows set-up requirements on set-up sheets with minimal support.
- Ability to conduct basic quality control checks and full functional deburring.
- Perform tool changes when needed.
- Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines, such as mills, lathes, and saws.
- Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors, such as feeds and speeds, coolant flow, depth of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit programs.
- Starts and observes machine operations to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjust machine controls or program as required.
- Verifies dimensions and alignment using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, height gauges, gauge blocks, and other inspection equipment.
- Communicates with co-workers, and team leader to receive instructions and coordinate activities.
REQUIREMENTS
Combination of between 4 – 10 years of trade school, vocational education and / or work experienceAbility to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to floorAbility to exert between 10 and 50 pounds on occasional basisQuality oriented & consciousAlways adheres to Company safety policiesRequires decision making skillsExhibits characteristics of good role-modelReliable with excellent attendance recordRequires advanced training through in-house and / or external training methodsAbility to work in fast-paced environment.Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.Ability to utilize hand / eye coordination.Capability to stand for prolonged periods of timeCommunication skills.ABOUT THE KABLE GROUP
