NP - Outpatient Psychiatry- Menasha, WI

ThedaCare is committed to expanding psychiatric care to the communities it serves in providing counseling through its psychiatric program. ThedaCare Behavioral Health provides mental health and substance use disorder treatment to adults throughout ThedaCare's seven county region. As part of an ongoing effort, ThedaCare seeks an experienced outpatient Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our collaborative team in Menasha, WI.

Under the general direction of the collaborating physician, the Nurse Practitioner provides general outpatient or consultation services to patients with psychiatric illnesses.

• Full-time or Part-time (flexible with schedule)
• Provides outpatient and / or consultative services to patients with psychiatric illness
• Provides consultation to primary care, therapists and / or other providers in the community (e.g., teachers, probation officers, etc.)

The Psychiatric group is part of a behavioral health division that includes;  six adult psychiatrists, four nurse practitioners, four adult psychiatric hospitalists and 50 Mental Health / Substance Abuse Counselors as well as Psychology, Neuropsychology services, ECT and a Mental Health Day Treatment Program.

Position Requirements :

Graduate from an NLN accredited Masters Program in Nursing with a focus in Psychiatry Mental Health a plus

Current RN License to practice in the State of Wisconsin and certification as a APNP / Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber

Must be board certified as a Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner. Current certification by the ANCC / as an APRN-PMH / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Psychiatric Mental Health a plus
