Radiology Job Details
Location : Durham, NC 27704 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
Assignment Type : Travel Mammography Technologist
Duration : 8 weeks (Start : 12 / 15 / 2025 – End : 2 / 9 / 2026)
Setting : Radiology / Mammography Unit
Shifts : Day shifts, 4x10-hour days per week
Shift Schedule : Wed 7am–7 : 30pm, Thurs 6 : 30am–7pm, Fri 6 : 30am–6 : 30pm, Sat 7 : 30am–12pm
Training : First week Mon–Fri, 8am–4 : 30pm
Patient Population : Adults and Geriatrics
Scrub Color : Hot Pink
Flu Vaccine : Required (no exemptions)
Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2500–$2560
Mammography Technologist Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist or Radiologic Technologist
Active ARRT (R) and ARRT (M) certifications
BLS certification (healthcare jobs requirement)
Experience with Epic charting system
Documentation of 200 mammograms performed in the last 12 months
Initial MQSA qualifications : 40 hours training, 25 supervised mammograms, 8 CEUs in 2D / 3D, and 15 CEUs in mammography in the last 2 years
Flu vaccine required prior to start
Compact or North Carolina radiology license in hand
One supervisory reference from the past year
First-time travelers and local candidates (within 75 miles) are welcome
Radiology Responsibilities
Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms, including 3-D and digital mammography
Conduct outpatient and ER / bone densitometry exams as needed
Assist with special procedures such as wire / seed localizations, stereotactic biopsies, and DEXA scans
Maintain accurate patient records using Epic
Ensure compliance with all MQSA and facility standards
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
Participate in bi-weekly orientation and complete required modules
Provide weekend coverage as scheduled (Saturday 7 : 30am–12pm)
