Med Tech - Avamere At Waterford
The primary purpose of this position is to provide each resident with routine daily health services.
Responsibilities include :
- Administering medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of the Director of Health Services and according to the policies, procedures and practices of the facility.
- Providing care to residents following the service plan and assisting in updating each resident's service plan.
- Responding to resident calls and emergencies promptly and providing first aid assistance.
- Assisting with daily ADL's such as bathing, dressing and eating.
- Documenting and communicating any changes pertaining to residents and completing all reports in a timely manner.
- Creating and upholding an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment.
Qualifications include :
High School Diploma or equivalent.Minimum 1 year experience in a healthcare setting.Experience administering medications in accordance with established clinical standards and requirements of this state.Knowledge and experience caring for and interacting with residents of this nature.Maintaining confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.Speaking, reading, and writing English fluently.Having an active CPR / BLS Certification.At Avamere, we believe in taking care of our employees.
