In this role, you will be a key member of the RM modeling system engineering team working on modem systems features and requirements.

Description

• Model, design, and simulate state-of-the-art RF for 4G / 5G / 6G modem wireless communication systems.
• Implement system models and perform detailed performance investigations to allow performance sign-off.
• Collaborate with RF systems and analog circuit designers to capture designs and develop models.
• Develop AI / ML modem solutions and mitigation techniques.

Minimum Qualifications

BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience

Deep knowledge of signal processing and communication systems

Strong analytical skills (linear algebra, random processes, detection and estimation, etc.)

Strong background in AI / ML and familiarity with the tools such as PyTorch and TensorFlow

Experience with Matlab, C / C++, Python for algorithm development.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AI / ML applications in wireless communication is strongly desirable.

Familiarity with RF impairments (phase noise, DC offset, IQ imbalance, inter-modulation, etc), their impact on modem performance, and RF mitigation techniques.

Knowledge of RF / analog components (LNA, filters, mixers, ADC / DAC), digital front-end processing, automatic gain control.

Knowledge of cellular communication standards : 5GNR, 4G LTE.

Knowledge of RF systems and design flows with hands-on experience in lab testing & characterization.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
