Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. Job Description

WMAQ-TV, the NBCUniversal station in Chicago, is looking for a Sports Anchor / Reporter to be responsible for gathering information on many current sports events, games and personalities and preparing the information for live on-air broadcast presentation. Responsibilities include providing anchored sports segment(s) for newscasts. Will function in Sports Anchor and Reporter roles, both for on-air and on the Station's website, or another digital platform as assigned. Will work within a strong team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years television news anchor / reporter experience covering Sports.
• BA or BS in Journalism, Communications or related experience.
• This is an AFTRA-union represented position. If not now a member, membership will be required upon hire.

Salary Range : $140,000-$195,000 (based on experience)
