Construction Superintendent
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee community solar projects in Illinois. This role will involve managing day-to-day operations and administrative duties on-site for solar sites ranging from 1 to 2.5 MW. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work in the renewable energy industry with potential for career advancement.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations and administrative duties on-site.
- Report daily progress and safety updates.
- Oversee and coordinate sub-vendors and their foremen on site.
- Enforce safety and regulatory policies and procedures.
- Set and monitor daily and weekly productivity standards for contractors and subs.
- Develop a three-week look-ahead schedule and collaborate with the Construction Manager to ensure timelines are met.
- Coordinate equipment deliveries with the logistics team and subcontractors.
- Review and manage construction blueprints, project plans, and specifications daily.
Essential Skills
Construction management experience in commercial electrical or civil projects.Technical degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or extensive construction management experience.Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.Experience managing sub-vendors.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PDF, Word, and Excel.OSHA 10 certification.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Solar experience is a plus.Electrician or electrical experience is advantageous.OSHA 30 certification is preferred; assistance available for renewal if expired.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00 / hr.
