Senior Accountant

Our client, a nationally recognized leader in the management and development of events and sports, is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their growing team.

Salary / Hourly Rate :

$75k - $95k Depending on experience

Position Overview :

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the Accounting team by preparing financial statements, managing journal entries, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy across various consolidated entities. This position offers excellent professional growth opportunities, working closely with senior leadership, including a highly experienced Controller and CFO from high-growth, private equity-backed companies. This is ideal for an Accountant looking to transition out of public accounting into the private sector with real impact and visibility. Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant who is proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a high-performing Finance team.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant :

• Manage billing, invoicing, collections, and revenue recognition to ensure compliance with contracts, company policies, and GAAP standards.
• Perform month-end close processes, including reconciling bank statements, general ledger accounts, journal entries, and credit card / expense submissions.
• Maintain accurate and efficient accounting records, supporting audits and ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
• Analyze financial performance, providing insights to drive cost reduction and revenue growth.
• Assist the Controller with accounting projects and process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
