Position : Travel Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L / D) Shift : 6 : 30 PM – 7 : 00 AM Location : Valley View Medical Center, Fort Mohave, AZ Assignment Type : Travel

Overview

Valley View Medical Center is seeking an experienced Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join its Women’s Health team. This role is ideal for nurses who are compassionate, detail-oriented, and skilled in providing care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
  • Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, including vital signs and fetal heart tones.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Assist physicians and certified nurse midwives during deliveries and procedures.
  • Educate patients and families on childbirth, postpartum care, and newborn care.
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in accordance with hospital policies.
  • Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies such as preterm labor, postpartum hemorrhage, or neonatal distress.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective care.
  • Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and confidentiality standards.

    • Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona or compact state.
  • Minimum of 2 years recent Labor & Delivery experience required.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required; NRP and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills in obstetric and neonatal care.
  • Excellent communication and patient support skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-stress, fast-paced environments.
