Job descriptionProvide direct patient care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, including vital signs and fetal heart tones. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Assist physicians and certified nurse midwives during deliveries and procedures. Educate patients and families on childbirth, postpartum care, and newborn care. Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in accordance with hospital policies. Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies such as preterm labor, postpartum hemorrhage, or neonatal distress. Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective care. Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and confidentiality standards. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona or compact state. Minimum of 2 years recent Labor & Delivery experience required. BLS and ACLS certifications required; NRP and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring preferred. Strong clinical skills in obstetric and neonatal care. Excellent communication and patient support skills. Ability to work effectively in high-stress, fast-paced environments.
