We are currently seeking a talented Industrial Electrical Technician to enhance our operations in our corrugated packaging plant located in Springfield, MA.

As an Industrial Electrical Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical industrial equipment. Your expertise will help keep our state-of-the-art production machinery running smoothly.

Your Impact at Smurfit Westrock :
Maintain optimal equipment functionality through preventive maintenance practices.Perform scheduled maintenance on electrical components, including motors and transformers.Diagnose and repair electrical faults in complex machinery such as corrugators and printing presses.Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) to ensure system efficiency.Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety policies.Keep meticulous records of maintenance activities and assist in equipment installations.Collaborate with mechanical teams to address complex equipment issues.Participate in root cause analyses to enhance operational reliability.What You Need to Succeed :
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician, preferably in a manufacturing setting.Familiarity with 480V three-phase systems and various control voltages.Ability to use electrical test equipment and read schematics accurately.Strong troubleshooting and programming skills with PLCs and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).Massachusetts Electrical license or equivalent certification.Commitment to safety and excellent communication skills.High School Diploma or equivalent; further technical education is a plus.Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a dynamic industrial environment.Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and on-call as necessary.The starting pay for this position ranges from $34-$40 an hour, depending on experience, with a comprehensive benefits package.
