Requirements
- Certified Sterile Processor (HSPA or CBSPD)
- BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician
- Large hospital experience (500 beds or more)
- Must have 6 months of travel experience
- Two professional references from the last two assignments
Roles & Responsibilities
- Inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instrument pans, procedural trays, and surgical case carts.
- Operate steam sterilizers according to established procedures; check gauges and maintain proper levels.
- Decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment, preventing cross-contamination per established procedures.
- Receive and store supplies from vendors; maintain inventory and fill orders for surgical supplies.
- Perform quality assurance checks on sterile supplies and instruments, including documentation of biological and sterilizer load sheets.
