PALCO, A Western PA distributor of Kohler Power Systems, is seeking aServiceTechnician III for Residential and Industrial generators throughout Western PA. Typical shift is M-F 8 : 00 am-5 : 00 pm, but may require on-call for nights and weekends.

Responsibilities :

• Independently diagnose and repair prime power and stand-by electrical power installations in both multiple and parallel operations.
• Understand and have a working knowledge of automatic start and stop controls, safety shutdowns, switchgear, circuit breakers, and control panels.
• Independently and successfully diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain diesel and gas engines.
• Performed work on generators and parts in various environments and working conditions.
• Safely assemble and disassemble equipment and parts according to the manufacturer's specifications.
• Accurately complete service reports and provide the details to complete work orders.

The successful candidate will provide electric power generator service and industrial service to our customers. The successful candidate must possess appropriate training and relevant work experience in electric power generator systems and industrial engines to successfully diagnose, repair, and complete the technical startup of diesel and gas generator sets, transfer switches, and switchgear.

Must be dependable, a self-starter, capable of working with little direct supervision, motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-friendly.

Must submit a background check and drug testing

The successful candidate will possess their own tools to be functional for the position.
