Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Ohio or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)

Ability to complete all onboarding requirements (background check, competency testing, health screenings)

Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care to mothers and newborns in the Labor & Delivery unit

Monitor patient status, fetal heart tones, and respond to obstetric emergencies

Assist with labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care

Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members

Accurately document patient care and clinical assessments in the EMR

Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care processes
