HTST Operator, 2nd Shift

Desi Fresh Foods is a leading "cultured" dairy manufacturer with over 23 years of experience. We produce high-quality and consistent products, which include yogurt (Dahi or Indian, Greek and traditional), smoothies / yogurt drinks, sour cream, and dips from single serve options to food service side. We are currently seeking a skilled HTST Operator to join our team and contribute to the ongoing success of our facility in Frederick Country, Virginia !

About the Role

Hours : Monday - Friday, 3 pm - 11 pm

As a HTST (High-Temperature Short-Time) Operator at our yogurt processing facility, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the HTST pasteurization equipment used in the yogurt production process. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HTST systems, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operation of HTST Equipment : Operate and monitor the HTST pasteurization system to ensure proper heating, holding, and cooling of milk according to established protocols and quality standards.
• Monitoring and Control : Continuously check and adjust system parameters, including temperature, pressure, and flow rates, to maintain optimal conditions for pasteurization.
• Quality Assurance : Conduct regular quality checks on pasteurized product samples to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Document and report any deviations or irregularities.
• Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on HTST equipment. Identify and report major mechanical issues to the maintenance team.
• Sanitation : Follow strict sanitation procedures to ensure cleanliness of the HTST system and surrounding work areas. Participate in cleaning and sanitizing tasks as needed.
• Compliance : Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental regulations. Ensure that all processes comply with company policies and industry standards.
• Documentation : Maintain accurate records of operational parameters, maintenance activities, and quality control tests. Prepare reports as required.
